News:

It looks like the new innovation in cosmetics is second skin! The “second skin” was partly created by Massachusetts Institute of Technology or MIT and has the potential to being a groundbreaking discovery in the cosmetics industry as well as many others. It is a flexible compound that goes on like a lotion and then when activated with an ointment smooths out wrinkles and creates an invisible film or second skin. What is cool about this is that not only could it be used in the beauty industry (the primer to end all primers) but can also be used to treat eczema, as well as protect us against sun damage!

If you have been on social media these past few days it would be hard to miss this news. If not, there is a new Jaclyn Hill and Sephora collaboration coming soon! There will be a new face palette or Champagne collection which is in gold packaging and looks like a mix of highlighters and blushes. It may include a new highlighter that Jaclyn has hinted is a sister to the very popular Champagne Pop she helped create. Right now the potential date is May 26th online on Sephora.com and in stores June 16th. That can change so definitely make sure to follow Jaclyn Hill on her Instagram and Snapchat!

The pick of the week is the Bare Minerals Invisible light Translucent Powder Duo. Bare Minerals describes this powder palette as “Two distinct finishes give your complexion an effortlessly fresh-not flat-look.” This palette includes two powders that are great at setting your Makeup. The left side is your more matte formula. It is very soft and finely milled and I use it under the eye area to set my concealer. The right side is a more shimmery powder that are very reminiscent of the Hourglass Ambient powder. I use a fluffy powder brush and use that as my finishing powder as my last step and it gives such a beautiful subtle glow. The palette is 32.00 in black packaging and you can buy it at Sephora.com, Ulta.com, and bareescentuals.com.
